The League

If you don't watch The League, you should get involved.  It's a show about a group of friends and their fantasy football league.  But even if you don't do fantasy football or even like football (i.e. me) you will still like it.  Its on FX on Thursdays at 10:30pm EST.

Last night the cast was at a bar near our house for Monday Night Football.  We had a great time hanging out with them, here are some of the pics.

Now we need your help...WHO IS THE GUY IN THE PICTURE BELOW???  We recoginze him, but can not think of his name!!

It will always be the SEARS TOWER

Since Josh moved here he has wanted to go to the Skydeck at the Sears Tower.  So the other day I lost a bet (don't bet on the Bears!) and was forced to go.  I have nothing against the Sears Tower, but paying $15 and standing in a long line of tourist really isn't my thing.  But the purpose of our visit was to visit "The Ledge"!  The Ledge is a glass box that extends outside of the Sears Tower on the 103 floor.

I didn't think it would be a big deal, but once I got close, my body seriously shut down.  You can tell yourself that its glass, and your brain says its fine, but your body just wont do it.  Here are some pics from our adventure, please notice the fear in my eyes!

Jackass 3D...

Date night this week included Jackass 3D the movie...it was much better than expected.  Very quick, and lots of funny things that are not included in the previews.  But definitely not for the weak stomach

Quote of the day...

Life is short
Break the rules
Forgive quickly
Kiss slowly
Love truly
Laugh uncontrollably
And never regret anything that made you smile

Karlie's quotes

So, I don’t know if all you knew this or not but Karlie is a very funny girl and she likes to keep me entertained. When we first started dating she used to say some silly things, most of the time, without thinking first!

The latest quote from Karlie really had me laughing and I felt like I should share…

"Hey, they are playing Raiders of the Lost Ark in the park in a few weeks, let’s go watch it,  I've never seen it, I have only seen Return of the Jedi and Revenge of the Sith."

I just started laughing.

More quotes to come.

Scary Gary

As some of you know, Josh and I took a trip a few months back to Gary, Indiana to see the childhood home of Michael Jackson...

Seeing Michael's house was cool, but Gary was one of the scariest places we have ever been.  So we were not surprised to read this headline...

Apparently 4 tigers were found in a Gary, Indiana tattoo parlor.

I think someone has seen The Hangover one too many times

Oprah don't go...

...because when you do, you will take all of the other celebrities with you!

A few weeks ago Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Kourtney Kardashian all dined at Frontera Grill.

AND Oprah and Tom Cruise ate at RL

Obviously we didn't see any of these people, but its fun to know that they are here!

Banksy in Chicago

Ok, so I know the blog is supposed to be from Karlie AND Josh but she has done all the work until now. Here is my first post, and I think I have chosen an appropriate name for it. :)

Karlie sent me the link from Chicagoist about a cool underground street artist that is new to me and I dig his work. He recently made his first appearence in Chicago and Karlie was not sure where exactly, so I did a little research, turns out his first Chicago piece was done only 1 building from where we just enjoyed some great pasta, Vivo. Anyway, I decided to walk around the Meatpacking District (and yes, it is an ACTUAL Meatpacking area, get your mind out of the gutter) here in Chicago and I found this cool looking piece.

I walked around a bit more and there were some pretty cool photo ops but I think we need to upgrade our camera first. I kinda broke our camera a few years back so our zoom is pretty lame and too much sun gets into the shot, and yet I digress. Here is the link that Karlie sent me and a link to the artist website as well.

I am not sure how to end these blog things so....farewell for now.

What do you think, ya own the place...

A few weeks ago we went to the cubs game.  The day started like this...

We we're very happy to be there

Half way through the game, we looked over and guess who was standing next to us...

Yep...thats Tom Ricketts the OWNER of the Chicago Cubs

He was very nice and signed a bunch of autographs.  Meeting him must of been good luck because Josh FINALLY got to see the cubs win!

Forget Disneyland, THIS is the happiest place on Earth

According to the S. Pellegrino World's 50 Best Restaurants 2010 list, Alinea is now the number 1 restaurant in the nation.

At around $225 for dinner we're not sure if we will ever dine there, but ya never know.

Martinis, Muscles & Poutine...round one

The Gage vs Kith & Kin...round one

We love the Martinis, Muscles & Poutine at Kith & Kin (where Josh works) so we thought we would try out the same meal at another favorite place, The Gage. Its too early to pick a winner, but for now enjoy some pics from our dinner...
