For week 32 we were lucky enough to spend the week in Michigan with our Zimmer family. We rented the cutest house about an hour and a half outside of Chicago. We swam in the pool every day, made a fire and roasted marshmallows every night. We went blueberry picking, buried Josh in the sand at the beach, road go carts and bumper boats, went wine tasting and celebrated Jenn's birthday. It was a super fun week, we love our Zimmer family so much!

Week 31
We were originally supposed to go to Six Flags for our friend Kevin's birthday (he's 35, not 5), but those plans fell through. Since we already bought our tickets we decided to head up there one Saturday. Since I had not been on a roller coaster since I was a kid, I was pretty sure I was going to barf on the first roller coaster. I was super nervous, but halfway into the first roller coaster I was loving it. We had a great day and Josh even won a skateboard at the ring toss.
Week 30
Josh and I do a ton of walking, but we have been trying to find another form of exercise that we both enjoy that doesn't involve going to a gym. So on week 30 we tried yoga, unfortunately I didn't document it with any pictures. We only did 15 mins, and we giggled through most of it but it was fun and possibly we'll do it again some day.
We did document a delicious dinner that Josh made one night when I had to work late. It was a BBQ chicken sandwich with homemade coleslaw. It was Josh's first time making coleslaw and it was amazing! Can't wait for him to make it again.

Week 29
Week 29 we may have been a little home sick and when we saw the Lake County Fair on the morning news we decided we had to go. Needless to say it was a little smaller than the CA State Fair, but we had a great time and even saw some goats. It was great to get out of the city and a good excuse to wear my cowboy boots.
Week 28
We had a Groupon to a new Sushi place around the corner (we might be single-handedly keeping Groupon in business). We had heard great things, but didn't really expect to love it as much as we did. The place is Macku Sushi, it was very different than any sushi we have ever tried, lots of different flavors and we loved every bite. Unfortunately we ate so quickly we didn't take a lot of pictures.
Week 27
Week 27 we didn't really have any plans to of course we ended up doing a LOT. On Saturday we went to the Field Museum, the natural history museum in Chicago. Josh had never been and I hadn't been since I was a little kid visiting from California. The building itself is amazing and the views of the city don't get any better.
After the museum we had a picnic under some trees by the lake.
Then we decided to walk through the Taste of Chicago...and got caught in the rain
After a great long day, we headed home to relax. We closed our eyes for a quick catnap and woke up at 2am...oops. One of the great things about living in a city like Chicago is there is ALWAYS something to do, regardless of what time it is. So at 2:30am we headed to a neighborhood bar that is open until 5am. After a few beers and some amazing people watching we decided we still weren't tired and the sun was about to come up, so why not knock something off our bucket list and go watch the sunrise over the lake. It was so peaceful and beautiful and Josh even went for a swim. It was a great morning, so glad we did it!

Week 26
Week 26 we went to a movie in the park, but not just any park...Wrigley Field. The movie was Blues Brothers which is a Chicago classic that Josh had never seen. And to top it all off we made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people wearing their sunglasses at night. The movie was great and watching it with a big crowd like that like made it even better. Lots of singing along and yelling out the lines. "we're on a mission from God"
